Unbeknownst to me until today, there is at least one full-size pickup driver in the Valley who isn’t a self-centered prick. I was at the intersection of 7th St. and McDowell Rd. this morning around 7:30. The light turned green, and although I was going straight, I waited for drivers to finish running the red left arrow, as usual. Except … there weren’t any! Instead, I saw a silver F-250, patiently waiting his turn for the green light. How about that!
I saw a piece on this evening’s news about the threat of avian flu in this country. It gave me a real hankering for KFC. I went to the one up the street and got a two-piece and a biscuit. I washed it down with a tall-boy of Beck’s. It was the best fried chicken I’ve had in a while.
It’s always nice when someone doesn’t try to screw you. Today I got the check for my deposit refund from my last apartment. The only deduction was for water usage from the last reading until the time I moved out. Sweet!
My life has been pretty hectic for the past several weeks, so I haven’t been keeping up with my blog. Among other things, I went flying a couple times, I spent a long weekend in Florida, and I moved to a new apartment. I’ll try to catch up soon with a few brief posts soon. I may also repost a couple messages to my mailing list.
