According to a news article I read this morning, foie gras will be banned in California as of July 1. The practice of force-feeding ducks to fatten their livers has been deemed to be too inhumane.
If you’re keeping score, our state governments can’t legally stop babies from being slaughtered, but they can apparently stop ducks from being over-fed.
Waterfowl one. Humanity zero.
